Value of Education Charity

It is said that in order to understand a value of something, you need to go through that phase or experience it. Like to understand the value of food we have hunger; to understand the value of money we have our daily needs; to understand the value of trees we have our need to breathe and lots more Similarly in order to have a good understanding of the value of charity, we need to put ourselves in the shoes of the needy people and then think from their perspective.

The word charity means to help the needy people voluntarily. Nobody can force anyone to help but the moment we realize its value, there shall be no need to force. Everybody needs help at some or the other time, the only difference being the extent. Thus, charity can be done in many ways and it ranges from giving a small amount of money or food to a roadside beggar, to giving a donation to a needy institution. This small act of kindness can make a big difference in the life of people who need it. And when we realize the value of charity, there would be no need for anyone to convince us to donate, because we would do it happily without any hesitation.

The Bhaktivedanta Gurukula and International School (BGIS) is a product of ISKCON. BGIS is coming up with an education project in the form of a global school which will give children an opportunity to get the benefit of both spiritual and modern education under one roof. Volunteers can come forward and help BGIS & ISKCON by giving donations to sponsor a child’s education. This noble work of charity will be a great pillar of support & help the children become educated & better human beings at large. One can visit their website to donate and see more related details – www.newbgis.org
