Contribution for a Child’s Education

 http://newbgis.org/
Population has been one of the major issues our country is and has been facing for long. Especially in village areas, people are not well aware of family planning measures due to which the control on population becomes weak. And this in turn pushes these people more below the poverty line. With lack of money and more mouths to eat; the common solution for them becomes not sending their children to school. One reason being lack of money for education and second reason being the thinking that these children are better of earning than learning.

This is one of the major factors why children are not getting educated and strong steps need to be taken to help educate such underprivileged children. And one of these steps is charity. Yes! Helping a needy child with education will not only bring prosperity to his/her future but also happiness to the society and priceless blessings for you. There are many ways in which such charity can be done like:
  •    Personally helping children to study by teaching them for free.
  •  Contributing small amounts of donation to NGOs helping educate children.
  •  Donating good amount of money directly to children’s parents.
  • Sponsoring a child via a medium of donating fees for that child’s education to the school in which he studies.

Value of Education Charity

It is said that in order to understand a value of something, you need to go through that phase or experience it. Like to understand the value of food we have hunger; to understand the value of money we have our daily needs; to understand the value of trees we have our need to breathe and lots more Similarly in order to have a good understanding of the value of charity, we need to put ourselves in the shoes of the needy people and then think from their perspective.

The word charity means to help the needy people voluntarily. Nobody can force anyone to help but the moment we realize its value, there shall be no need to force. Everybody needs help at some or the other time, the only difference being the extent. Thus, charity can be done in many ways and it ranges from giving a small amount of money or food to a roadside beggar, to giving a donation to a needy institution. This small act of kindness can make a big difference in the life of people who need it. And when we realize the value of charity, there would be no need for anyone to convince us to donate, because we would do it happily without any hesitation.

The Bhaktivedanta Gurukula and International School (BGIS) is a product of ISKCON. BGIS is coming up with an education project in the form of a global school which will give children an opportunity to get the benefit of both spiritual and modern education under one roof. Volunteers can come forward and help BGIS & ISKCON by giving donations to sponsor a child’s education. This noble work of charity will be a great pillar of support & help the children become educated & better human beings at large. Education – A way to create balance in life

When we talk about education, the first few things that generally come to our mind are subjects, degree, institution, marks etc. But little do we think of things that are what we call the bigger picture. We need to look beyond the visible and think freely. The education that encourages people to think freely, evaluate without any bias and take decisions using both logic & emotions is education in true sense. For sure education is useful in building a good career, but it makes more sense when it plays a vital role in shaping our life too. Thus, one should understand that the process of learning never stops and thus the source of education should not be limited to textbooks. There are many other things that happen in our daily lives from which we can learn like:

  •  Talking to our teachers about things apart from course subjects
  •  Listening to advices from our elders
  •   Hanging out with friends
  •   Spending time alone analyzing people and their behavior
  •   Spending time with nature
  • Learning from our everyday mistakes and lots more…
It is the above things along with our formal education that gives us the true way to lead a fruitful life. ISKCON, is one of the famous global organizations that truly believes in spirituality as an important part of education. The Bhaktivedanta Gurukula and International School (BGIS), which is a product of ISKCON is coming up with a mammoth education project in the form of a global school which will be home to 600 school students and 400 college students. This will give children an opportunity to get complete education which will be a beautiful combination of spiritual and modern education. People can come forward and help BGIS & ISKCON by giving their contribution in the form of donations to sponsor a child’s education. This noble work of charity will help the children become better human beings and make the world better by their good deeds. To donate and see more related details,
